Sheet Pan Pancakes Video

Who loves tasty breakfasts and saving time? We do!

Last month, we watched an episode of Nadiya’s Time to Eat on Netflix with our Foodie Friends group and have been dying to try her innovative, time-saving pancake hack ever since.

Instead of pouring batter and flipping pancakes one by one, pour the whole batter into a sheet pan and bake. This lets you pop it in the oven, set a timer, and forget it, instead of being tied the stove the whole morning. The best part about this is that you can let each person in your household still feel like they’re having a custom breakfast with their own toppings. Divide the pan in half, quarters, or how many ever you need and let each person top their pancakes however they’d like! We chose strawberries and bananas. Nadiya made hers with peanut butter & jelly (yum!). Try other fruits, chocolate chips, nuts, or anything else you’d like!

If you want to save even more time, Nadiya recommends doubling the batter recipe and freezing half of the raw batter for later.

The converted written recipe is below.

Sheet Pan Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Non-stick cooking spray

  • 1 1/2 bananas

  • 10-15 strawberries

  • 2 cups flour

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1 1/3 cup milk

  • 1/4 vegetable oil

  • 4 eggs

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Spray a 9” x 13” baking tray with cooking spray. Line the bottom with parchment paper. Then spray the parchment paper with cooking spray.

  3. Prepare toppings. De-stem the strawberries, then slice. Peel bananas, then slice.

  4. In a large bowl, add the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Whisk together.

  5. Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients. Add the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Use a whisk to mix together.

  6. Pour batter into the prepared baking tray, making sure it is evenly spread out in the pan.

  7. Put sliced strawberries and bananas on top of the pancake batter.

  8. Bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

  9. Let cool. Then slice into squares. Top with maple syrup, serve, and enjoy!
